Would you like to offer on-site osteoporosis scanning to your staff?

Your corporate reputation as a caring employer is important.

With the early intervention of screening and practical advice the benefits to your organisation are significant - fewer days of absenteeism, higher staff morale and an enhanced company image.

Early detection of osteoporosis can have a dramatic effect on lifestyle, independence, and quality of life.
Heavy smoking, anorexia, long term steroids and not taking enough exercise are just some of the factors that put us more at risk. Bone strength can also deteriorate during and after the menopause putting women at a greater risk than men.

The scan measures bone density. This can give an indication as to whether someone is more likely to break a bone or suffer any of the other effects of osteoporosis such as loss of height.

The test involves scanning the forearm; it takes only 3 minutes, and is painless.
The measurement of bone mineral density at the forearm is a well-validated technique and has been around for many years. Modern systems allow portable peripheral DEXA scanners to be taken to
GP surgeries, hospitals and the workplace.

SOS offers a confidential service within the normal workplace. Employees can address their concerns without taking time out of their working week.
